With a strong focus on sustainability, circular entrepreneurship, and local partnerships, we rescue high-quality bicycles and parts from waste streams and restore them for future generations.

Authentic cycling heritage accessible to modern cyclists

We believe the most sustainable bicycle is often the one that already exists.

By restoring vintage racing bikes, reusing quality components, and collaborating with local social workshops, we extend the lifespan of exceptional bicycles. This approach combines craftsmanship, circularity, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Craftsmanship & Sustainability

At The Hague Bicycleshop, we meticulously attend to the entire lifecycle of every bicycle. By prioritizing restoration over new production, we actively reduce the demand for newly manufactured equipment.

Our extensive restoration process follows a precise sequence of steps, ensuring both sustainability and authenticity. Each bicycle is fully disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, carefully polished, expertly repaired, accurately sorted, well-lubricated, and, where necessary, renewed with period-correct parts.

Durable Components, Lasting Performance

We work exclusively with high-quality components for every restoration. Where possible, we preserve and reuse original vintage parts, maintaining the authenticity of each bicycle and extending the lifespan of existing materials.

By giving carefully selected components a second life, we reduce the need for newly manufactured parts and adopt a more sustainable approach, without compromising on performance, safety, or craftsmanship.

Every restored bicycle reflects our commitment to quality, heritage, and responsible design.

Where to find us

We are located in The New Farm in The Hague, situated on the corner of Den Haag Moerwijk train station, and are recognizable by the large glass greenhouse on the 6th floor.

The New Farm is a stacked ecosystem of production companies where circular economy, social innovation, and food production are central.
